In another year impacted by Covid, our Music Department has continued to go from strength to strength and adapt to the challenges as restrictions have made performing live almost impossible for our students. The Lauries Music department has found innovative ways to ensure that our students still have the opportunity to enjoy performing in front of an audience.

In 2021, the Queensland Catholic School & Colleges Musical Festival (QCMF) went virtual for the first time in the festival's history. This did not hinder the success of the talented Lauries musicians with every ensemble awarded Gold, Silver or Bronze. Of the sixteen ensembles entered, over 50% claimed Gold for their performance.

To bring together the wonderful talents of Lauries Music in one concert, we are proud to present the Virtual Music Concert 2021 which showcases the pieces submitted by our wonderful ensembles. Compered by our 2021 Music Leaders, we hope you enjoy the performance which will be live from 6pm tonight Thursday 2 September.
